The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) held a simple but heartwarming farewell ceremony in honour of two retired Directors, Prof. RoseEmma Mamaa Entsua-Mensah, former Deputy Director-General and Mr. Issahaku Adam, former Director of Administration in appreciation for their immense contribution to the growth and development of CSIR.
Prof. Entsua-Mensah, a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, retired as a Chief Research Scientist from CSIR in September 2019 after 32 years of dedicated service.
Mr. Issahaku Adam, the immediate former Director of Administration, who was represented by a family member at the ceremony also joined the CSIR in 1995 and retired in March 2019 after 24 years of dedicated service to the Council.
In admiration and appreciation for their immense contribution to the development and growth of the Council the retired directors were presented with citations and gifts by the Council, Institutes, staff and Individuals of CSIR.
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of a cow by the CSIR-Animal Research Institute to Prof. Entsua-Mensah in appreciation of her commitment and dedication to the CSIR.
The event took place at the forecourt of the CSIR Head Office and was graced by Council Members, Directors, and Professional Bodies, employee associations and staff members drawn from all the 13 Institutes of CSIR as well as family and friends of the retirees.
